The Best Hamburger Recipe

Nothing compares to the taste of a freshly cooked homemade hamburger. The following classic hamburger recipe is easy to make and is one of the best hamburger recipes I have come across.

This is a wonderful pork recipe which you can cook in the oven or roast on the grill. It reminds me of deviled eggs, but much better.
In a small bowl, whisk together:
1/3 cup Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons paprika
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Set aside 1/4 cup of the marinade and refrigerate. Pour the remaining marinade over 2-3lb boneless pork loin roast in a shallow dish. Cover and refrigerate over night, turning once. Take meat out of refrigerator …

Blueberry Pie

This is my favorite pie to make because it is so easy to make and tastes so good to eat.  Fresh blueberries are always the best, but frozen taste wonderful in this pie as well.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  On a lightly floured surface, roll out one of the two chilled pie pastry crusts to fit into a 9 inch pie plate.  Once you have placed the pasrty into a pie plate, using a fork, puncture a few holes in the bottom of the pastry.  In a large bowl, mix …

This recipe makes enough for two 9-inch pie crusts.  This is a great crust for Blueberry Pie.
In a shallow bowl, mix together:
3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Add:
6 tablespoons vegetable shortening
6 tablespoons cold butter, cut into pieces
Using two knives or a pastry blender, cut the mixture until it resembles crumbs.  Slowly start adding ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, using a fork or pastry blender to combine the mixture.  Continue to to this just until the dry ingredients cling together, but mixture is not too wet.  You could add up to …

My husband and I love to try new foods and he always inspires me to try new recipes.  But last night he did the cooking and made the most delicious molasses-mustard glazed pork dish.  The pork was so tender and the sugar in the molasses caramelized the meat giving it the richest flavor.  This glaze would go excellently with chicken or ribs as well.
Heat grill or skillet to high heat.  In a small bowl whisk together:
1/4 cup molasses
1/3 cup Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon honey
salt and pepper to taste
Using a meat tendorizing …

My husband loves burgers so I am always looking to find new ways to prepare them.  This recipe is a wonderful twist on Caesar salad.  For a really decadent treat, I like to top them with a slice or two of bacon.
In a large mixing bowl, combine:
1-1 and 1/4 lb ground chicken
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 bunches of green onions, chopped
zest from 1 lemon
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
with a large spoon, mix all ingredients together and then form into four equal sized patties.  Refrigerate patties for at …

This is a great recipe to serve on Thanksgiving or the days leading up to Thanksgiving. It combines apples and cranberries and is a wonderful alternative to the traditional pie. Serve it with ice cream or home-made whipped cream.

In a large bowl mix together:

Dry rib rubs can make or break a barbecue meal. This recipe below is my favorite dry rub for baby back pork ribs. I love a dry rub because it is so flavorful and much easier to eat than traditional BBQ sauce. While I typically use this rub on baby back pork ribs, you can also use it on chicken breasts. The recipe below accommodates about 5-7 pounds of baby back pork ribs.
Mix in an airtight container for up to 8 weeks:
2 tablespoons pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 …
