Fried Avocados

Our family loves avocados. We probably eat guacamole at least once a week, if not more. And avocados in a family salad is a given on any weeknight. However, without a doubt, fried avocados are our favorite avocado treat!

Fool Proof Roasted Turkey

This is one the best and easiest turkey recipes I have found. Your prep work and seasoning is done with an easy to make “brine” that can be prepared up to a day in advance and keeps the turkey moist. Whether it is your 1st Thanksgiving or your 30th, this is one you have to try.

Tri-Tip Roast

My husband and I recently went to a wedding in Napa and had the pleasure of dining at Ad Hoc, which was amazing. We had their roasted tri-tip and vowed to find a similar recipe. Tri-tip is the cut of meat from the bottom section of the what is considered to be sirloin and is usually barbecued. However this recipe roasts the tri-tip slowly and is amazing. Gourmet Fried Chicken

This is a truly gourmet recipe for fried chicken adapted from a favorite restaurant of ours, Michael Mina. This is a fairly complex recipe so it’s not for the beginner chef, however despite the difficulty and abstract ingredients, this fried chicken is well worth the trouble.

Grilled Chicken Fajitas

A classic Tex-Mex recipe, the grilled chicken fajita has become one of America’s favorite south of the border meals. The best part about the chicken fajita is the customization of ingredients that each diner can use to create their dream chicken fajita. This recipe requires an indoor or outdoor bbq to grill the chicken.

Chocolate Cupcakes

My kids love these chocolate cupcakes. We’ve gone through our fair share of cupcake recipes and I think we have narrowed down this as our favorite chocolate cupcake recipe. A great thing about these chocolate cupcakes is the fact that you can make the unfrosted cupcakes ahead of time and freeze them for a month if you are short on time.
