With the Kentucky Derby coming up, I just had to post a recipe for the famous Mint Julep.

In a tall glass, muddle together:

4 fresh mint sprigs

1 teaspoon powdered sugar

2 teaspoons water

Once mint leaves, sugar, and water are a paste like substance, fill glass with crushed ice and:

2 1/2 oz. bourbon

Garnish with a mint leaf if desired.

Makes 1 serving
