Farmer’s Gingered Hamburgers
I love burgers and am always looking for ways to change them up a little. This is a great alternative burger recipe. You can serve it with soy sauce mayo sauce (1 tablespoon soy sauce and 1/4 cup mayo) or add sliced cucumber for a refreshing and pretty finish to a great burger. Asian Coleslaw is a great side to this burger instead of french fries as well.
In a large bowl, mix together:
1 1/4 lbs. ground turkey or chicken meat
1/4 cup fresh cilantro (1 tbsp tube)
1 green onion
2 teaspoons fresh ginger (1/2 tsp dry)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
Form meat mixture into four equal patties and let set overnight in the refrigerator. Grill or pan cook the next day.
Makes 4 burgers
