This is a great recipe to serve on Thanksgiving or the days leading up to Thanksgiving. It combines apples and cranberries and is a wonderful alternative to the traditional pie. Serve it with ice cream or home-made whipped cream.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a 9×13 greased baking pan, evenly place:
5 tart apples, peeled, slice and cored

In a large bowl mix together:
1 can whole cranberry sauce
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour

Pour cranberry mixture evenly over apples. In a small bowl mix together:
1/4 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans)
1 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 cup melted butter

Mix nut mixture and spread evenly over apple and cranberry mixture. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until fruit is tender.
